WoodTrux is a craftsman from North Carolina who has been hand crafting wooden tractor trailers since 1990. Yes, even though they look like diecast, all of the trucks are made from wood!
There's alot of quality craftsmanship that goes into every unit that is built. Definitely not like every other wooden truck, by a long shot. Each tractor trailer and all the parts are individually hand crafted by me, from photos of that

People have asked me ... "How many employees do you have?"
The answer is none. I personally create every wooden truck and trailer myself. I'm not a big corporation that mass produces a replica that the may have some wheels that do not turn or stickers that may be placed on crooked. I also make the truck to look like your truck, not some generic model that is not your truck.
I have been in trucking since 1988. I started making these wooden trucks for myself. Someone caught a glimpse of one and wanted their tuck replicated. So that is how it all started.
Another thing is that I do NOT buy some kit and put these trucks together from a prefab kit. Each and EVERY item is individually made by me.
So you can understand now, why a decked out tractor trailer can involve more than one hundred hours to build that replica. At the prices I ask for one of these unique collectibles, that's way below minimum wage.
Being a trucker myself has given me the opportunity to see, up close, the many variations of accessories on a truck. There can be alot of differences between trucks, even within the same manufacturer models. One truck may have dual stacks out the back, or two one hundered gallon tanks and no battery step box.
That is why it is so important that when someone requests a wooden truck replica to be crafted I ask for detailed pictures of all sides.

I add alot of detail on every truck and even offer a vanity license plate and reflective for a cool light effect. Hours are spent chroming the wheels, mirrors, tanks, stacks and trailer trim. All trucks receive an auto quality paint finish.
The average size truck with trailer is 5 1/2 inches tall at the stack, and 22 inches long (represents a 53' trl). Longer for doubles and shorter for a 48 foot trailer. Truck lamps measure 21 inches long and 21 inches (can be less) from base to top of lamp shade.
These trucks come in a custom made foam-lined wooden crate, ensuring that your truck arrives in perfect shape. Many have been shipped, with no complaints of anything ever being broken. You will receive an authenticity card and every truck is signed on the bottom.
